Product Description For people who take steak seriously, this 6-piece steak knife set manufactured by Victorinox features highly polished, high-carbon blades that are laser-tested to ensure optimal cutting power and durability. Lifetime warranty.
Amazon.com Review When steak is on the menu, pull out this set of six steak knives from Victorinox (model 88792), each of which features a pointed tip and serrated edge. Because the blades are stamped rather than forged the price is kept reasonable, yet the high-carbon, stainless steel is extremely durable and the ground, tempered edges maintain their razor-sharpness for a considerable length of time. The molded polypropylene handles provide a sure grip, have no grooves or rivets to harbor bacteria, and are dishwasher-safe. All in all, the knives are lightweight, very sharp, and designed to slice through meat with ease. Started in 1884 in Switzerland, Victorinox is perhaps best known as the manufacturer of the Original Swiss Army Knife. Today Victorinox by R.H. Forschner makes everyday cutlery for the home as well as professional forged cutlery and multi-purpose tools. Hand-finished in Switzerland, the knives are covered by a lifetime warranty against defects. --Ann Bieri

Great knives at a great price October 9, 2007 Numa (CA) 29 out of 29 found this review helpful
I purchased a set of these knives about 10 years ago and they still perform as advertised. For the price I can't imagine that you can find a better utility steak knife. They are not fancy but they stay sharp and are dishwasher safe.
Still strong after a year of use. January 27, 2009 M. Hertzler (East Coast USA) 10 out of 10 found this review helpful
These were given to me as a gift for Christmas 2007. Since then, we have used them for everything but steak. We cut up kid foods mostly. We also use them for peeling apples (not what they were intended for, but sometimes the right knife is dirty), opening packages, cutting fruit, lunch meat, pizza, chicken, salads, grapes, etc.
These knives have stayed sharp even in the face of dishwasher use. They are flexible and durable.
Great knives! June 15, 2009 M. Murray (Sacramento, CA) 8 out of 8 found this review helpful
These are wonderful, but be warned - they are very sharp! They wash well in the dishwasher and we have had no problems whatsoever (except that I cut myself, but that was a user error). I highly recommend these knives if you don't want to bother buying replacements anytime soon.
Excellent June 6, 2009 Steve Evans (Idaho) 6 out of 6 found this review helpful
I'm the only one in my house who hasn't been cut by these knives (of course I'm the only one who doesn't cook either - lol). These knives are much sharper than a standard Steak Knife so treat them with respect, or suffer some blood loss ;-)
Bottom line, excellent knives... Sharp, diswasher safe, cheap.
Excellent knives for the money December 4, 2008 E. Barron (Wyomissing) 8 out of 9 found this review helpful
These are quality knives that will last for years, in contrast to other cheaper sets. I have been using these knives for a year now and they are still cutting and looking like the day I bought them. Highly recommended. If you opt for other knives listed as being made by Forschner or Victorinox, be sure they are labeled as such on the blade. Otherwise you may be getting less than these excellent knives.
