This works fine and is no problem to use or clean. However, with the choices and ease of K-cups, my wife and I don't use it. We feel that one of the best things about this system is the variety of coffee. This locks us into the use the pound. Other than that, it is an excellent item.
Great for Chai and Coffee January 13, 2007

The main thing I would add is that this is a great device to solve the chai problem, mentioned as an issue with the Keurig machine. While I agree that the chai available in the prepackaged K-Cups is not that great, you can get some loose chai (i.e., on Amazon - Numi Tea Ruby Chai, Spiced Rooibos, Loose Herbal Tessan, 16-Ounce Bag), stick some in the basket, and make great chai. There are other varieties - I just have not experimented with these yet.
I use this little gizmo several times a day for coffee and chai and find it to be just the thing for someone who likes great coffee and wants to be environmentally sensitive - I just cannot stand throwing those prepackaged K-Cups in the trash.
My advice is to get two and use one for coffee and one for chai. If you try to use the same one for both, your coffee will taste like chai.

It definitely works and does what I expected it to do, and is certainly easy enough to use. However, I thought that I would use it much more to save money because those K-Cups are expensive. I found, after all, that the reason I bought the Keurig was for the ease/cleanup of the K-Cups! It is good to have though, should I run out of K-Cups or if there is a flavor I want that doesn't come in K-Cups.

The reusable K-Cup filter assembly allows you to use your own gourmet ground coffee in your Keurig brewer. Simple to use and clean, highly recommended. Also works with the new Keurig B-70 Gourmet Single Cup Home Brewing System that was released October 1, 2006.
