Great pans! July 13, 2007 BeagleGrin (Wilmington, DE United States) 10 out of 10 found this review helpful
These pans have excellent heavy bottoms. I don't have too many gripes, except it would have been nice if the handles were welded to the outside instead of being bolted in. Stuff will stick to the bolts. I just cook neater and avoid the bolts, and I'm fine. We use these pans for literally EVERYTHING that can be cooked on a stovetop! SHIPPING was SUPER FAST!!! *** UPDATE *** September 10, 2008 Excellent product UNTIL we had guests who "helped us" clean up and put them in our super heavy duty dishwasher... After that, the finish was never the same. I have ALWAYS hand washed my non stick pans. I'm afraid the trip through the dishwasher killed them. Now, our dishwasher is brutal, much more harsh than the average dishwasher, i have to admit. We still use them, I'm a fan of the heavy bottoms and even distribution of heat. But now, I have to use cooking spray to keep food particles from sticking :(
What a pair! May 30, 2007 Ray from Jersey 8 out of 8 found this review helpful
Here is an essential pair of nonstick pans for the budget minded but still serious cook/chef. We will probably also add the 8" & 10" pair soon and double up on the middle size because at $40 for each set you can definitley NOT beat the pricing.
Best deal on the Internet !!! September 22, 2007 J. Setze (Chicago) 7 out of 7 found this review helpful
Don't miss out on this introductary offer! Retail for both of these pans is over $160.00. These pans heat quickly and evenly, and little or no oil is needed to saute or fry foods. Calphalon pans are used on the TV Show "Top Chef" and now I know why! LOVE THEM...Have purchased 4 sets...2 sets for me and 2 sets for my Mom, and am glad I did.
Good pans, good deal, recommended October 21, 2007 Eric Jacobson (Dallas, TX USA) 6 out of 6 found this review helpful
I'm no gourmet chef, but I cook daily and appreciate good equipment with which to do that. These skillets qualify. Plenty heavy, good looking, excellent quality overall. I spent a couple of hours looking all over the Internet (after casually checking out any store I visited with a cooking section for the last year, and not finding anything satisfactory) for a great combination of quality and value, and I think my time was well-spent. This Calphalon pair is exactly what I'd been hoping to find. Only complaint: the handle hanger holes are oriented in an odd direction so they didn't hang on my (Calphalon) pot rack the way my old skillets did, and I was forced to slightly change the way I hang my skillets. I can live with that :)
Excellent Pans March 5, 2008 Rodolphe Boulanger (New York, NY USA) 6 out of 6 found this review helpful
These omelette pans are excellent for everyday use. I've used them for everything from omelettes to stir-frys and sauces to chicken breasts. They are very easy to clean and look good on your cooktop. However, I have a small kitchen and find them a bit bulky to store in a cabinet. Most importantly, at less than $75, they were such a good deal, that I am not too worried about ruining them. If they last me 18 to 24 months as my "go to" pans, I will be very happy.
