The least likely to leak of the diapers we tried. September 10, 2006 AverageGuyShopper 32 out of 33 found this review helpful
I heard from other parents and also from reading reviews that the Pampers swaddlers were great diapers. Well, after trying out Huggies, Target brand, and Pampers, my wife and I really like Pampers the best. Why? Hey, when you're holding the baby, you don't want to suddenly feel wetness coming through on those newly washed clothes. I found it pretty annoying to have to change the diapers, toss the clothes in the laundry, and wash the baby with the other brands, when I should have been playing with the baby. I think the Huggies did a fine job provided that you changed the diapers frequently to keep the absorbancy intact. In the end, it was worth paying a little extra $ to get less leaks. The one thing that Huggies did a better job of was the diapers seemed to be less perfumy. Pampers seem to have more of the "baby/talcum smell".
THE BEST DIAPERS! February 1, 2007 C. Dsa (Pasadena, ca USA) 21 out of 21 found this review helpful
These are the best diapers. My newborn was almost 10 lbs. at birth and newborn diapers were too tiny and leaked every single time he wet his diaper. I moved to the next size up in Huggies and continued to have the same problem. My pediatrician recommended Pampers Swaddlers so I tried them and am SO pleased. They are a little more expensive than Huggies and Luvs, BUT, I save money in the long run because the diapers don't leak, hence his clothes don't get soiled, and I don't have to do the baby's laundry that often. I'm not going back to any other diaper!
Rookie Dad Loves the Swaddlers August 29, 2006 B. C. Moseley (Lone Star State) 18 out of 18 found this review helpful
I'm a 1st time dad and was pleased to see our hospital (huge, big-city hospital that delivers 4000 babies a year) using Pampers Swaddlers for newborns. I had never changed a diaper so I had the nurse give me detailed instructions. She said the swaddlers are the best of breed - especially for newborns. Knock on wood, but we have yet to have an infamous Blow-Out, and we have had lots of full diapers. No leaks either. Now if Amazon would just figure out how to keep these in stock....
Never had a leak. June 27, 2006 Rising Ren (Seattle, WA USA) 7 out of 7 found this review helpful
These are plain and simply the best diapers on the market. I can't say nearly as much for regular Pampers, Huggies, or even Luvs. We tried every brand available when my son was born a size preemie - nothing would fit on him, and everything leaked! We had our hospital guests running out for us to find us preemie onsies, sleepers, and diapers. Then we finally decided to try these, and they still fit him, no matter what he's growing like at the time. They're super stretchy and the softest diaper I've felt. Nothing scratchy touching the baby, and since they stretch and fit comfortably snug no matter what, you never have a pile of left over diapers that don't fit him anymore, when they go up to a new size. They fit till the end, and they overlap each other in size rage so there are no weird periods of growth when he's an 'in-between' size. They are also SUPER absorbant. We've changed more than one leak from Huggies, (regular) Pampers, and Luvs and most of them were all from 'weird angle!' accidents and the diapers were barely wet. With Swaddlers you go to change the diaper and it's as heavy as a softball and you're just flabberghasted. They pull everything away from his skin, and are just plain and simple = wonderful.
Great Diapers July 23, 2006 Bee Bee 6 out of 6 found this review helpful
These are great diapers. They stay in place, are very absorbent, and do not permit leaks.
