So simple a child can use it April 21, 2005 K. Hampton (Izmir, Turkey) 22 out of 25 found this review helpful
Incredible forearm and wrist exercise for virtually any level. It may take a little practice to get is started, but don't quit and write a bad review. Once you've got it, you'll have a hard time hanging on to it and an even harder time putting it down. (I don't recommend this item to individuals lacking the basic coordination required to tie your shoes, however. You may get frustrated and pout about "wasting" your money)
Great arm and hand exerciser! December 6, 2006 T. Fore (Washington, USA) 10 out of 10 found this review helpful
It took me a long time to figure out how to start this with the advance starting techniques. But it was well worth it. I do not need to carry around the starter string. I have tennis elbow. After a few days of using Dynaflex Pro Plus Gyro Exerciser, I can now extend my arm with almost no pain. This is a great product. It is worth the cost. I also purchased the optional digital speed meter that I rarely use. I use the exerciser to strengthen my arm, hand and wrist. I really do not need to know how fast I had the gyro is spinning. Besides it is very difficult to read the meter while operating the exerciser.
Fun Ball October 22, 2006 Spike 10 out of 11 found this review helpful
This is a really cool device once you get it started. Actually getting it started is the hard part, it took me over a day to figure out. The instructional video is not helpful at all, because it is misleading. Some of my friends and I spent forever trying to get it to start and no one could make it work. I finally figured out how to get it to work. The trick is you have to get a really good starting spin to begin with, it's very difficult to do without using the starting string they provide. That was my main problem, I kept trying to start it with the "advanced" methods such as flicking it with my thumb or "karate chop". When I used the string again, and made sure to pull as fast as I possibly could, then I was able to get it going. Then you can just hold your forearm straight and rotate your hand in a circle, you will feel it speeding up. Then you just have to rotate faster to speed it up more, which takes practce and forearm strength to be able to rotate faster.
This thing works very well! Starting it was REALLY EASY WITH THE INCLUDED STRING! Got it on the first try! November 27, 2006 N. P. Ladieu (Pittsburgh, PA United States) 6 out of 7 found this review helpful
Ok for starters just let me state that I started this with the string the first time I tried it. I still can't get it to start using the "advanced methods", who cares!? The string works, I don't need to bother with any other method. The string is very simple. Just wind the string and pull it out. You don't need to apply even 40% of your force with the string to get it going good enough to light up. When it lights up your golden, that means it is going well and you can start the exercise. Really if you can't get it started with the string you have some serious problems in general. Maybe you should consider purchasing the model that comes with the autostart dock sold here on Amazon. If you think its worth all of the extra money to avoid using the string then I guess you could do that. Very addicting and it definitely feels like it is working. As a computer worker I think this is a "must have" product.
It works July 9, 2007 SoGoLa (Honolulu, HI USA) 3 out of 4 found this review helpful
I am disappointed at begining because the rotor would only spin for about 20 seconds. But after couple practice, the rotor can spin long long time. It really helps me to exercise my wrist to relieve my pain from carpal tunnel syndrome.I have fun with it. My whole family love it.
