Learning Letters October 9, 2008 F. J. Hilbrandt Jr. (va usa) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
My daughter got this from her uncle and aunt for Christmas 2007(she was 2 years old then). She has been playing with it now for 9 months. She has learned the capital letters that came with it and is always wanting to play with her "letters". I am looking at now getting the lower case letter set and/or word maker. She has dropped the letters and the letter reader on the floor many times and they are not damaged. Being that both the letters and reader are magnetic, we are not looking for lost pieces, we always know where they are. Better than plain letters, you can hear the sound the letter makes and the alphabet song.
Great toy, still working (and being played with) 5 years later. November 25, 2008 Darlena (New Mexico, USA) My kids got this toy for Christmas 5 years ago. They were 3yrs and 6 months at the time and they both loved it. It helped them both with learning their alphabet and recognizing letters and their sounds. After 5 years, this toy still gets played with and works great. This is one of the only educational toys that my children have had that they did not lose interest in after a few weeks. This toy has been such a great learning tool for my kids, I am buying another one for my new little nephew.
Fun and educational November 11, 2008 Vanessa (NY USA) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
My son got this as a gift almost 2 years ago and it helped him not only learn his letters but the pronunciation of each letter. Every time you press the letter it would sing a song that would help him remember how that letter is pronounced, "M says mmmm, M says mmmm, every letter makes a sound, M says mmmm". The repetitiveness was great for him to remember the letters and sounds, but for any parent listening to this all day it has its annoying factor after awhile. There is a volume control, and a button that sings the alphabet song. This has gotten a lot of use, and the letters make great magnets for holding up artwork of the fridge.
ruined my fridge November 21, 2008 Amy Cripps-hutchison 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
This product has left huge scratch marks all over my new fridge. If you own a stainless steel fridge as I do, I would highly recommend you not use this product on it. I give the letters to my daughter to play with on the floor, but she quickly loses interest in them. Maybe once she gets older she will show more interest.
also ruined my fridge December 18, 2008 Jeffrey W. Paff My son and daughter love the toy, but after one year, the music button is sticking and difficult to push. But it scrtched the S%@t out of my fridge, try using it on a baking sheet instead.
