This scale is constructed to accurately measure weight up to 400 pounds and it is backed by a five-year limited warranty.

Place the scale on flat, level surface. A hard surface, such as a tile or linoleum floor, is the best for maximum accuracy. If the scale is placed on a very soft, deep rug, then it may not produce accurate results. Once the scale is placed on an appropriate surface, locate the zero adjustment control on the edge of the scale and set the indicator to zero. Next, step on and off the scale to check the accuracy of the zero setting. If the pointer does not return to zero, then you should repeat the zero adjustment. When the zero setting is deemed accurate, step on the scale and position your feet to distribute your weight evenly over the entire scale platform. Stand still while reading the display for the most accurate results. Note: It is normal for your weight to vary during the day, and from one day to another. Slight changes in your weight are generally considered normal.

Having owned several expensive digital scales and watched them all eventually stop working, I went in search of a good old fashioned spring scale..And found they are more rare than you think. This is the only one I found and I am sure glad I did. The scale is large and easy to stand on and read. No more balancing act with this one.Its easy to read and use.
I would recommend this scale to anyone who wants a stable non-digital scale.I am sure it will last alot longer!

Fantastic scale for any house. Very easy to balance it out to zero. Large viewing area to see numbers and plenty of "foot room" on the scale. Just all around GREAT scale. Would tell anyone to purchase it with no worries.

To be honest, I would really rather have the much more expensive doctor's balance beam scale, but I just don't have the room for it right now. I have owned a lot of scales over the years, and this is the best I have owned. certainly the best for the price. I find it to be more consistent than any other scale I have owned.

I like this scale very much. It has a large platform to stand on and the numbers are very easy to read. It is also lite enough to carry from room to room. I would recomend this product to everyone.
