Product Description Due to hygiene issues, this product is non-returnable! The Real-Ease Neck and Shoulder Relaxer is a scientifically contoured headrest designed to let you deeply relax. Doctor Riter's Real-Ease is the most advanced cervical neck support in the world. It is so unique that it's patented. It is totally non-toxic and is the simplest, least expensive way to deeply relax your tired, sore neck and shoulders. So why do so many people suffer from neck, head and shoulder discomfort anyway? The musculature of the neck and shoulders is responsible for holding our head erect. In addition, essential sensory mechanisms of our life, i.e. eyes, ears, nose are all located in the head. When our necks are tight or jaws clenched, we set up a pattern of chronic spasms and tightness in all the muscles of the neck and shoulders. The dimensions of stress on these muscles are extraordinary. In addition, adequate blood flow into the head requires a relaxed musculature. Therefore, our need to provide deep relaxation for the neck is of utmost importance. If there was a simple, inexpensive, drug-free, non-toxic way to deeply relax your sore and tired neck, would you give it a try? What does it do? Imagine having a skilled massage therapist gently and firmly holding your head, while you completely surrender the weight of your head into their healing hands. This is just what the Real-Ease can accomplish for you. It allows for deep and profound muscle comfort. How does it work? How does it work? The scientifically and orthopedically designed device gently cradles your neck along the base of the skull. The structure of the device allows you to deeply relax the weight of your head into the firm, soft inner surface while gently holding your head up. This allows the many tight muscles of the neck and shoulders to relax. Real-Ease can go anywhere Wherever you can lean back or lie down, Real-Ease will make it more relaxing. For watching TV or lying in bed On the carpet On the sofa At the beach On a plane

It really works! August 16, 2005 Blueskygal (Tucson, Arizona United States) 51 out of 52 found this review helpful
I finally figured out that my real problem in my neck and shoulders was TMJ! I am a grinder and this has been putting stress on my neck and shoulders. I had bought a shiatsu massager only to realize it wasn't solving the real problem. So I returned it and luckily found this on the web. This simple little device really works. You feel relief in just minutes and after 10-15 minutes you can feel your neck and shoulder relaxing. I also find that my jaw relaxes as well. I use it every night before bed to loosen up my muscles. Well worth the price, and at this price, a steal!
I am a Chiropractor and I recommend to every patient. March 27, 2008 HJB (Tulsa, OK) 33 out of 33 found this review helpful
I have practiced chiropractic for 28 years and truly wished I had invented the Real Ease. I personally use the device and I have recommended it for practically all of my patients for the last 5 years. At first it may not feel "good" for the first few sessions, but that doesn't concern me. There are times that braces on teeth don't feel "good" either. The device is designed to help properly restore the normal curve in the neck. I wouldn't recommend using it for anymore than 10 -15 minutes a day. Even though illustrations on the box show it being used while sitting upright, like in an airline seat, as well as while reclining in bed, I feel the device is useful only while reclining on a firm surface (like the floor). I tell my patients to lay on the floor with their calves up in a chair and relax. It is a great way to spend time in prayer, or meditation or to just catch up on some sleep. But, be sure to set a timer for 10 to 15 minutes.
Chronic neck pain relief February 22, 2005 Seeker (Texas) 40 out of 42 found this review helpful
A wonderful product. I suffer from a neck condition which puts much stress on my shoulder muscles creating an almost constant ache. This inexpensive device has helped so much after just 3 days of use for 20 minutes /3 times a day.
NECK Pain relieved February 25, 2006 G. Isobe (Los Angeles, CA) 22 out of 23 found this review helpful
I have a degenerated cervical disk that is touchng a nerve. It causes tightening in the muscles around my shoulder blade and tingling in my left hand. I take neurontin and get massage and chiro adjustments. Still,I have neck pain 24 hours a day. I got this device yesterday and used it to sleep...pain-free. I woke up in the morning and my neck muscles were relaxed. So far this is the only device I have found for lying down to relieve the pain.
Works for me June 21, 2007 J. Werner 10 out of 10 found this review helpful
I've used this for probably 10 years. I get migraine headaches regularly and lying on this "head chair" really makes a difference when I cannot find any position to lie in that doesn't make my head throb. Pillows, especially those formed foam things, really are awful for me and only the head chair is comfortable then. I read some of the comments about it not 'fitting' for some people, but it can be moved around so that it feels more comfortable. I agree that a wider base would make it less wobbly, altho' it's not so wobbly that it is a problem for me. I can easily fall asleep on it and lie on it for hours at a time. The combination of the head chair, an ice pack, and of course my Rx usually takes care of the migraine.
