Nice mattress pad! November 3, 2006 C. Podgers (Poconos, PA) 10 out of 10 found this review helpful
I purchased two of these mattress pads when my second son graduated to a big boy bed. Wow - how nice! The sides fit the mattress snugly yet adjust for a great fit. The fill is amazing! A friend thought I bought a pillow top bed for my 2 year old, and was surprised to learn it was the mattress pad that made it so soft. It washes really nicely, too. I bought cheap waterproof pads for my first son, and they fell apart within a month of washing. Not this pad! I'm going to order another for my older son now - you know, just in case he gets sick in bed or something, plus it will make his bed much more comfortable. Great quality; great value.
Held up to some serious hi-test urine! November 10, 2006 Andrew Kantor (Roanoke, USA) 16 out of 20 found this review helpful
Thanks to an obscure medical condition, our son's urine is highly acidic. Remember "Alien"? Remember the alien's acid blood that dissolved steel floors? That's what we're talking about. Our last waterproof pad (and who are they kidding when they say "waterproof," as if you're worried about water!) lasted one night, after which our son's pee sizzled right through, ruining another mattress. Thanks to it's Kevlar-Romex weave and carbon-nanotube construction, the Simmons pad was able to stop the urine better than any ordinary "water"proof pad. Highly recommended. (Seriously, it's a mattress pad with a plastic lining. It works -- it stops the pee from soaking through. What more do you really want? :)
Simmons Beautyrest Waterproof Mattress Pad March 15, 2007 K. Yant 5 out of 5 found this review helpful
This is one of two waterproof mattress pads that are used in my household. The other pad holds water when washed and takes forever to dry. The Simmons does neither. Washes and dries beautifully in addition to going on the mattress easier than the other.
great for toddlers April 5, 2007 C. MCINTYRE (Minneapolis, MN) 5 out of 5 found this review helpful
We bought this pad for our 2 year-old son's twin bed and it was so nice that we later purchased one for our Queen sized bed. It is soft and doesn't crinkle and make noise like other pads we've had. It also washes in the machine really well. We've washed my son's once a week since we bought it (about 6 months) and it hasn't changed a bit, still appears to be in great condition. Both the twin and the queen fit our mattresses well.
Good Quality, but wouldn't recommend for top bunk January 4, 2007 DJJ (Milan, MI United States) 4 out of 4 found this review helpful
I bought this mattress pad for my 4-yr-old son, who sometimes had accidents in the bed at night. The pad is of good quality: it adds coushin to the mattress and it has never leaked for us. I also bought one for my older son's bed, which is the top bunk, and it's really difficult to put it on his mattress. It's quite a workout, so I would not recommend it for loft beds or bunk beds.
