I was hoping this would be the right color, because I want to have my baby's newborn photos done in a blue outfit on a light brown background, and this blanket is just right! I couldn't tell from the picture what type of material it is, but it's a typical super-soft cotton blanket, and also a little bigger than a lot of receiving blankets that come in the standard 3-packs. And it's quite a bit cheaper than a lot of organic baby blankets. It's just perfect.

This is such a sweet, soft blanket. My son loves to snuggle with it. The blanket is fairly thin, but that is perfect for snuggles...

Although it is organic, soft and cute, this blanket is made in China. Important information for conscientious parents or gift-givers. I have returned mine.
