Amazon.com High magnification, versatile illumination, and multi-angle viewing make this tri-fold mirror from Jerdon a virtual cockpit of makeup application. Structured for panoramic viewing, the mirror features two adjustable side panels, plus a center section with regular reflection on one side and 5X magnification on the other. Two bars of fluorescent lighting offer cool, glare-free illumination, and the color-correct light menu lights your face for day or evening, the office or home. A built-in outlet accommodates curling irons and roller sets, while an adjustable backstand offers 11 angles to work from. The entire unit folds up flat for storage. Though the mirror does not feel as substantial as the company's all-metal models, it does roll several features into one compact model. In addition, the reflection is consistently clear, and the side panels stay put where you place them. Fully extended, the mirror measures 19 by 12 inches. Jerdon includes a one-year warranty. --Emily Bedard

I Read all the Negative Reviews and Bought this Mirror June 4, 2006 A. Kalman 74 out of 74 found this review helpful
My wife's makeup mirror lost much of the mirroring material. So, she needed a new one. This mirror is similar to the older style type I bought for her as a gift many years ago from Basco. This is a Very large triple makeup mirror with two Bright 9 watt flourescent light tubes. 18 Watt Florescent = about 100 Watts incandescent. IMO, Appears to be one of the brightest makeup mirror avalable. I looked at the ConAirs and we almost purchased one of the round styles with the light inside. (but I realized they are not very bright) I carefully read the negative reviews about this product. That is why I had to take a chance and buy this mirror. The reviews that caught my attention were that you need a professional electrical person to replace the bulbs. And the reviewers that mentioned that the bulbs burned out after a few uses. I have some electrical experience with light tubes. My wife told me the bulbs burned out right away. I came in and had to have a quick look. No, The lights are not burned out. The trick is the light is manufactured with the old fashion preheat ballast tubes. (old reliable technology) In order to light the bulbs you must hold the "ON" switch DOWN for 5 to ten seconds then the lights light and you let go of the switch. The light bulbs are very bright and should work well for years if you do not damage or drop the mirror. My wife complains that she has to hold the "ON" button down. But, the mirror is indeed extremely bright. Good Luck if you buy this mirror. Hope my tip helps you.
Simply the best. April 8, 2005 Susan C. Fincher (Memphis, TN) 38 out of 40 found this review helpful
When a similar make-up mirrow that I had had for years finally died on me last year, I went out searching for a replacement. I tried the new style oval ones. They were just awful. The mirror was too small and the lighting was depressing. Then I found this one. It's wonderful. You get a decent sized front mirror and two side mirrors that are especially helpful to someone like me who is very myopic. The lighting somehow manages to be extremely flattering (which helps you feel better about yourself) while at the same time shows everything you need to see and possibly alter a bit. I'm sorry about the reviewer who had a problem with the lights, but that was probably just something that went wrong with one mirror. Mine is a treasure and infinitely superior to the newer style ones out there today.
Love it!!! August 20, 2005 Heart2Heart (USA) 19 out of 19 found this review helpful
My old mirror finally died after over 15 years of use. (It didn't survive the move to the new house.) I was thrilled to find that it was still being made, and couldn't be happier with it. It was torture for the week that I had to live without it. It provides the perfect lighting for applying make-up or tweezing my eye brows. I just hope that this one lasts as long as the previous one!!!
Very satisfied March 15, 2007 Cecilia Sullivan (San Francisco Bay area, United States) 4 out of 4 found this review helpful
I like this mirror. It's bright enough, and since it uses fluorescent rather than incandescent bulbs, it stays cool. The little outlet on the front is convenient, and I like that the center mirror can swivel up or down independently from the side mirrors. Very pleased!
Super Product July 9, 2008 J. McCarthy (North Yarmouth, ME United States) 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
Don't pay attention to the reviews about the bad bulbs. That user was not holding the "on" switch down long enough. I had a lighted mirror exactly like this one for 20+ years and it finally broke. I panicked, thinking I would never find another just like it. I found it on Amazon and it arrived and works beautifully, just like my old faithful mirror. I'm so very pleased. It's a wonderful product.
