Amazon.com Review If buzzers or music are not enough to get you out of bed in the morning, this projection alarm clock might give you the jolt you need. When the alarm sounds, time and outdoor temperature project in large red digits onto a wall or ceiling up to six feet away so you can't miss it. The projection arm has four different orientation angles for you to adjust it to the perfect eye level plus an adjustable brightness control. Two alarm settings, allow you to set wake-ups for two different times. An adjustable snooze button also gives you a respite between alarms of anywhere from 1 and 59 minutes. This bedside clock also displays the precise time in hours and minutes in either 12- or 24-hour mode on its backlit LCD screen as well as the current day of the week and numeric month and day. A built-in antenna system receives signals from the WWVB radio transmitter in Fort Collins, Colorado, which is in turn regulated by the atomic clock. Once you plug the unit in and set the clock to the proper time zone, it will automatically set to the accurate time. The clock can be set to one of 13 time zones, including all US time zones and Greenwich Mean Time. The main screen also identifies your current time zone on a United States map icon and displays current indoor or outdoor temperatures and the weather forecast for the next 12 to 20 hours. The temperature function displays in either Celsius or Fahrenheit and is measured indoors every 10 seconds. Outdoor temperature is measured remotely every 5 minutes via a 433 MHz transmitter (included) that can be positioned up to a maximum of 80 feet from the clock's location. The current weather forecast and future tendencies, including storm warnings, are shown in an iconic display with predictions based on changes in air pressure detected by the unit. This clock comes with an AC power adapter, and will also run on two AA batteries as a backup power source should the electricity go out. The manufacturer provides a one-year warranty on this projection clock. --Cristina Vaamonde

Incredibly, it does what it says it does--I love mine! December 5, 2004 M. E. Rose (Hickam AFB, HI (Oahu) United States) 66 out of 66 found this review helpful
Although smaller than I expected, this alarm clock fulfilled everything I expected--and it does it very well. The outside remote seems to be very accurate, and the projection works very well. It's very easy to see the time/outside temp at night, and I don't find it obnoxious at all. It's really does make it easier at those early morning moments when you're wondering what time it is. The clock set itself within minutes of being plugged in--not a problem. The remote took longer to communicate with, but worked perfectly once connected (read directions carefully from the beginning). The weather forecast is strangely accurate where I live (New Mexico). For example, it predicted rain the other night and both my wife and I thought it was way off. It rained the next day and night! Once I skimmed the directions, I found the clock to be easy to setup and use. I especially like that the huge snooze bar on top can be used to disable & reset the alarm in one step-very simple and easy! It does everything the description says, and it does it very well.
Excellent Clock for the price May 22, 2006 Mapaza (El Cerrito, CA United States) 37 out of 37 found this review helpful
I purchased the WT-5442U based on the fact that it had the least amount of negative reviews at Amazon. And yes, I am very happy. Put the batteries in the remote sensor, connect the clock to the power and don't push any buttons for 10 minutes. That's the entire set up! Of course, once you get the clock time, you need to adjust the timezone, and the alarm time. The usage is very intuitive. Most things I figured out in 10 minutes by myself. 10 more minutes over the manual and I knew everything there is to know about this clock. This clock does a lot for the price and it does it right. Things I didn't expect, but are pleasant: 1) you can adjust the snooze time 2) alarm 1 wakes you up, but if you are strong sleeper, it gets louder after 30 seconds. 3) adjust to 12/24 hours. Although the Celsius and Farenheit degrees are adjusted to that. European vs. US? 4) easy and intuitive to use Things that could be better 1) projection only works if it's dark. It could be stronger for my sight. But it works. 2) projection arm only moves forward and back. No swivel. I don't know if any of the clocks swivel anyway. But again, no big deal. 3) like everybody else, I would like the blue background to stay on all the time. But that's not an option. Plus the blue makes a very fine buzzing noise. I wouldn't want that anyway. All in all, this is a great clock. The price value performance ratio is excellent. Well done.
Neat, techy, sophisticated.... April 18, 2006 Timothy Braun (NJ, USA) 6 out of 6 found this review helpful
Really like this clock. Everything worked like it was supposed to, and the time projects perfectly onto my ceiling at night. Guaranteed to impress anyone who sees your room at night. The weather predictor is amazingly accurate. It always turns out to be right. I like the temperature features because I know exactly when I can open my window and get fresh air without being frozen or roasted to death. The atomic update feauture is equally impressive (though most people wont think much of it, at least you'll know that you're always right on time!). Its a great clock, I highly reccomend buying it.
Excellent Purchase July 23, 2006 Robin Lynn Craig 4 out of 4 found this review helpful
I would recommend this clock to everyone - how delightful is it to wake up in the middle of the night and to look straight up at the ceiling to determine what time it is without having to reach for your alarm clock sitting on your nite stand. It's all about convenience and this clock says it all - big numbers are easily read and the contrast is not too bright so that it is overwhelming - go for it, you'll love it.
A great product! November 9, 2006 Patrick L. Vogt (West Lafayette, Indiana, USA) 4 out of 4 found this review helpful
I am pleased to let you know that I am very satisfied with this product. It does everything that it says it is going to do, and is a wonderful value for the price. I especially enjoy the projection. This isn't one of those cheap projectors that are found on some clocks. This clock projects large, bright, clear numbers on any wall or ceiling. What's more, you can adjust the orientation of the projection, so the projection won't be upside down at your area of perception. The weather forecasting tool is also extremely accurate. It is nice to know if you are going to need an umbrella or not before you leave! It hasn't failed me yet.
