Fits Standard Doors Perfectly December 26, 2006 Rebecca Johnson (Washington State) 37 out of 37 found this review helpful
If you are looking for a way to keep your house warmer in the winter or cooler in the summer, this is a good solution that will quickly remedy the problem of drafts under the front door. It may also help in windy rainstorms where water is likely to find its way under the door. Within a day after putting this under the front door, I noticed the house staying much warmer and now my home is cozy warm. If you have a standard size front door, this should fit with no adaptations. If you have any problems with this fitting, all you do it resize the foam inside and instructions are included. ~The Rebecca Review
I found the solution to the lose fit of the "Twin Draft Guard"! May 22, 2008 puffandstuffandthings 20 out of 20 found this review helpful
I left this review in a few places (comment sections). I found the solution to the lose fit of the "Twin Draft Guard"!!! I was having the same problem as a few others about the sloppy fit of this item. Solution: I went to Lowes and bought one inch PVC pipe insulation FOAM. This foam is of the stiff kind (while holding the middle of the foam insulation, both ends should stick out. If when holding the foam insulation both ends flop down, then you've got the wrong foam insulation.) and should cost no more than a $1.30. Make sure you get the uncut version of this pipe insulation foam. This foam is a bit wider than the foam that comes with the "Twin Draft Guard" (TDG). One side of the foam insulation slipped into the TDG reasonable but the other side I had to massage it in (a little difficult). That alone made it go from a sloppy fit to a nice snug-to-tight fit. Now, to stop it from sliding off the door when I open the door between the hallway and room... I put a thumbtack at the very end of the TDG under the door. Perfect! It's now snug and doesn't slide off the door when opening or closing the door. Hopefully this will help others.
Twin Draft Guards really work! January 21, 2007 Wendy Mielke 7 out of 7 found this review helpful
I recommend these draft guards for any one with drafty doors. They are an inexpensive but effective way for cutting down on drafts from sneaking in under doors. They're simple to use too, you just slip one underneath your door and you're done. The only inconveniences are minor ones. Number one, when you open that door they will slip out of place, but it's easy enough to re-position them. Secondly, not all doors are the same size, so you may have to trim them to fit your door, but that is not hard either, as it's just a foam interior. It's too early to tell yet if they've actually saved me money on my energy bill, but it's a step in the right direction.
Easy to use November 12, 2006 RFN (NYC) 6 out of 7 found this review helpful
This is a great draft dodger. Easy to trim and it does the job. My landlord was recently in my apartment and was impressed, especially since it is removable.
No More Cold Feet! December 11, 2007 Marc L. Soloff 3 out of 3 found this review helpful
Nice product, does what it is meant to do. Yeah maybe its not the best constructed item on earth... but if you have a draft coming from under your door and you buy this, then you won't have a draft anymore. Its that easy.
