some reviews below refer to "Thinking Adventures" November 10, 2003 34 out of 36 found this review helpful
Note: Some of the reviews here (the 3-star one entitled "very easily bored with it" for instance) refer to a different product--"Clifford's Thinking Adventures".The Phonics title is a completely different game, released in July 2003. If the review says at the end "refers to an ALTERNATE VERSION" check the link--might be a review for the other game.
A great introduction to computers November 9, 2004 Cristin D. Kersten (Kankakee, Illinois United States) 21 out of 21 found this review helpful
My four-year-old daughter was not interested in using the computer at preschool so we bought this at the school's book fair. Well, now she is VERY interested in the computer. She too has spent countless hours playing this game. It was very simple for her to master her way around without little help from myself. It is not only a fun game but also a game that teaches word and picture recognition. I would highly recommend this software to other parents; in fact, I am going to put some more Clifford titles on her Christmas list!
Trick your kids into learning April 27, 2006 K. G. Berliner (Houston, TX) 14 out of 14 found this review helpful
This game was purchased for a young girl aged 4 years 8 mo. She had very little computer experience, and a little phonic work in Pre-K. This game was right up her alley. Some of the tasks were easy, giving her a sense of mastery, but the difficulty level increases nice and slow and she didn't even realize. They mix in fun non-learning activities as a reward (decorating the float). As a result, her reading skills have significantly improved in the past month and so have her computer mousing skills. Haven't found a good typing game for a 4 year old yet, that's next.
My daughter loves this software game! December 9, 2005 C. Nauroth (Allentown, PA United States) 11 out of 11 found this review helpful
My daughter just turned 3 years old in October and she loves this game. It's very educational and fun at the same time. She was able to navigate through the carnival games right from the start so it's very user friendly. While she's known all her capital letters and the sounds each letter makes for some time now, she's learning to recognize the lower case letters and to spell 3 and 4 letter words from using this game. She's only had it for a few days but I can already see she's learning a lot from playing with it. I highly recommend this one for it's educational value.
Great Learning Game February 20, 2006 Penny (California) 8 out of 8 found this review helpful
This game is awesome and teaches kids phonics, letter recognition, matching, numbers, and they don't even know they are learning becuase they are having fun. They complete tasks and get fun prizes that boost self confidence. It helps kids navigate on the computer and gets them comfortable with a mouse.
