Produces Smooth, Quiet Cuts with Laser-Cut Kerf
The Freud D0724X's clean-cutting design means that you can enjoy the comfort of smooth performance. The thin 0.59-inch kerf between the blade's 24 ATB (alternate-top bevel) teeth is laser cut to provide ease of feed, so you have more control over each blade's position. This helps maximize both the accuracy of the cut and the efficiency of your work, so you can enjoy a job well done and the ability to complete more tasks in less time.

An added bonus, the blade's laser-cut stabilizer vents will reduce noise and vibration during operation, keeping your work environment more relaxed and your hands more in control. This feature also reduces friction to the blade, helping extend its cutting life.

So you can count on it over the long term, the Freud D0724X is designed for durability. The blade's hardy teeth are protected by Freud's exclusive shock-resistant TiCo Hi-Density Carbide formula, which helps fight wear and tear and maintains blade sharpness up to four times longer than standard carbide. 5 out of 5 stars The only blade I use   February 23, 2008

I started using Freud Diablo blades about 5 years ago because I found that they are extremely well balanced, make exceptionally fast ,smooth, splinter free cuts. Even there framing blades are smooth enough for finish work. I am a professional finish carpenter and will settle for nothing less. If a store I'm shopping for blades does'nt carry these I leave to shop for them elsewhere. They cost a little more than your run of the mill blades(the yellow ones) but are well worth the few extra bucks and will last 10 times longer. Professional tip: After using any blade for a long period of time they tend to collect pitch in the blade tips, the blade may not be dull, just dirty. I pull them from the saw and soak them for a few days in turpentine, this will help release the pitch from the blades.

5 out of 5 stars Is this thing for real?   February 8, 2004

I was just working with a framer who had this blade on this Mag 77 and I was stunned at how fast this blade cut through wood. It's hard to believe that a blade could make that much difference. All cuts with this blade were effortless. We ripped a 6"x10"x12' beam on the 6" side. You would have thought we had just used a table saw. This is a sweet blade.

These blades beat the others hands down. Almost too good for just framing. Cuts through wood like butter. You pay a little more for them but the results make the cost worth it.

5 out of 5 stars Super blade   January 7, 2009

This is an excellent value in a thin-kerf, general purpose disposable blade. The coating works well, as does the thin-kerf design- you have to be really lax on providing material support for this blade to bind. I use it for general construction, mostly 2x4 and 4x4 cuts, but have been impressed how little splintering I get when cutting plywood down to size- and that's not something this blade is designed to do. The teeth are very, very sharp and retain their edge. While using one of these blades to cut 1x6 cedar fence planks to size, I carelessly laid the plank too close to a steel wheelbarrow I was using for support. The thing went right through both plank and the wheelbarrow tub. Yes, stupid and careless, and it cost the blade a couple of teeth and me much embarrassment. But it kept cutting all day, and cut well- impressive.

5 out of 5 stars IT's Like butta.....cut your own stair stringers with this   September 7, 2009

If you have ever cut your own stair stringers, you know what pain it can be.
I was always scared of circular saws, but didn't want to use a Japanese pull saw on 2 long sets of stringers-been there, done that. I bought a really inexpensive circular saw ( 60$) and used this blade. Makes it like a high quality saw.......very quiet, very smooth very controllable and accurate.
The blade is one of the few that are not made in China......it's made in Italy. And it's made like a piece of jewelry. Very high quality! And it rings when you tap it. That's a clue to high quality metal work. Thin kerf is great. You don't need bulk in the blade, it's so well balanced.
If you are a crafts person, this is the way to go. Cuts right thru 2x10 stock, right on the mark.
Just go at a speed that doesn't hog the blade. I highly recommend this blade! - Samurai sharp!

I no longer fear my circular saw. ( p.s. I'm a woman wood worker!)
