I gave this item 5 stars because it performs well, is cheap, and was described accurately. It is basically a specially-sized, handled bag with an attached absorbant pad to soak up wetness. I really loved these for our recent week-long backpacking trip around Europe. I liked the convenience of having the bags ready with the pad inside and so neatly packaged.
However, for regular use we buy the smallest size of trash bags and toss a disposable nursing pad inside. Perfect! I keep an extra ziploc with a roll of bags and a corresponding number of nursing pads in our car at all times, replenishing as needed. I was skeptical of the need for an absorbant pad at first, but now I prefer it. If you aren't going to be able to dispose of the potty bag immediately, you definitely don't want to be carrying around a baggie with a cup of pee inside!
I would purchase these again for a specific trip, but for everyday use I prefer the trash bag/disposable pad method.

We purchased this for my 4 year old son who is still attached to his diapers. He started pre-school and could not wear diapers so this potty is to be used for the trip to school, home and where ever we go. It folds and has a wonderful travel bag to put it in. It isn't the largest potty but it is big enough for him to do what he has to do. I put a plastic bag inside with the liner. The liner isn't very big so the bag will be sure to catch the mess then you just take the bag off and throw in the garbage. The plastic liner that you see in this picture did not come with it when i bought it so i used a plastic bag. It seems to do it's job well. When we first got it my son tested it in the house. We leave it in the front seat ready to go in the carry bag for easy use. The bigger kids can use it also as long as you have a bag inside under the liner you should be fine.

I just love the potty,but most important,my daughter loves it. She wants to use it even in a house.
Great,great product!
Little tip: you can use regular shopping bags if you have a garbage can near by.I use disposable only when I can't get rid of it.

I LOVE this product. Just returned from a vacation with our fully potty trained 3/12 yr old who sometimes has an issue with unfamiliar toilets, so this product was a godsend because she has no problems using it. Very handy while we were driving through deserted mountains of California with nowhere to stop for miles & miles. Have to admit, I even used it myself in an emergency! An absolute must have product for traveling Mom's with toddlers.
