Attach the Fisher-Price Rainforest Waterfall Peek-a-Boo Soother to baby's crib and use the critters and sounds of the rainforest to put baby in blissful slumber. The three modes are handy whether using the six minute music, lights, and bubbles setting, the 12 minute music and lights setting, or the 18 minute music only setting. The last is a coup for those putting baby back to sleep in the middle of the night. Each mode has three musical settings: rainforest sounds and classical music, rainforest and lullaby, and merely the sounds of the jungle. The three volume settings are useful, though it would be nice to have a daytime and nighttime setting for the lights, as they can be a bit bright. The special effects aren't Hollywood, but the smiling simian on the vine, the waterfall effect, and the peek-a-boo frog will have babies enthralled. Four C batteries are necessary, but not included. Recommended age is birth and up. --Scott Teal

Our baby loves this February 24, 2007 K. Gehring (Kentucky, USA) 18 out of 18 found this review helpful
I replaced our old Ocean Wonders Aquarium soother with this Rainforest Waterfall version about a month and a half ago. The Aquarium was still working and our baby liked the lights and music, but I was looking for something that would play for a longer period of time. With the Aquarium, I had to go in her room and press the button a couple of times before she would fall back asleep. Not fun at 3 or 4 in the morning when all I want to do is fall back asleep. I had read that the Waterfall soother plays for up to 18 minutes, so I thought I'd check it out. The soother has 3 different length settings: lights, music/sounds, and movement for 6 minutes; lights and music/sounds for 12 minutes; music/sounds only for 18 minutes. There are 3 settings for the sounds: rainforest sounds without music; rainforest sounds and lullabies; rainforest sounds and classical music. There are 3 volume settings as well. I have ours set for 12 minutes of sounds and lullabies and I rarely have to go back in her room and press the button a second time. She almost instantly settles down once the music starts. If I happen to put her down for a nap or for bed while she's still awake, she'll quietly watch the lights and fall asleep on her own. And I'll admit that hearing the songs and rainforest noises over the baby monitor is soothing and relaxing as I try to fall back asleep. My only complaint is that the lights seem REALLY bright for something that is supposed to lull a baby to sleep. I ended up covering ours with a light flannel blanket to dull the light a bit. The baby can't see the critters, but since I don't have them set to move, it's not really a big deal. Despite the bright lights, we're happy with this soother.
Wonderful soother November 29, 2006 Suzette Winters (Virginia) 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
Love this! I got this for my 18 month old daughter to replace the Fisher Price Lullabye Birdies soother, which started to malfunction. This is a terrific replacement. It is 10 times better! The nature sounds and music are soothing and my daughter loves turning it on herself after naps and sometimes in the middle of the night to soothe herself. I wish this had been around 18 months ago. I also love that it is different from the ever popular aquarium soother. My only criticism is that the movement only lasts for 6 minutes, which is not enough time to get my daughter to sleep. At night I switch it to music and lights only (no movement) to get 12 minutes playing time. Still works like a charm!
Great Soother June 23, 2007 C. Gorrell (Tulsa, OK) 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
We just got this a couple of weeks ago for our 7 week old baby and I'm already glad I have it. I can put our daughter in the crib and turn it on and she will turn her head to look at it. The music and sounds are very relaxing. We have our volume level set in the middle and it is just the right volume, not too quiet to be heard, not too loud. I'm looking forward to the time when she learns how to turn it on by herself. I'm certain this will provide soothing sounds and lights in the crib for many months to come.
Still loves it after 6 months! July 13, 2007 Quin's Mom! (CT United States) 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
I bought this soother for my son when he was 6 months old. He is 13 months old now and still loves it. When I first purchased it, he couldn't turn it on by himself. Now, he can do it on his own. My husband and I can hear him over the baby monitor playing with it both when he goes down at night and wakes in the morning. I have it set on the "works" for him--lights, music, sound... and I have only replaced the batteries once so far. But to be fair, he only uses it 2 or three times a day when he is in his crib. I do agree with the reviewer who said that it was bright. There have been several times where I have walked into his room half asleep at night only to be blinded by the soother's blue light! Thankfully, it never really seems to bother my son. I have noticed that is a kind of a pain to put the soother on the crib (and to also take it off). That difficulty notwithstanding, I was honestly thrilled that it could be attached at all. I have had problems with other toys not fitting on the thicker wood rails of my son's crib. Overall, I am very happy with this soother, it has exceeded my expectations. Update: My son is still using this cribside toy and he is now over 2 yrs. old! It helps him get back to sleep at night when he wakes and I'm sure saves my husband and I many trips up to his room.
My niece loves it. December 28, 2007 Stephen N. Shields 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
My niece, who is about 3 months, loves this thing. She always smiles and laughs at it. She also has the "First Aquarium" toy, but she seems to like this one much better. I'd recommend to anyone with a small child.
