5 out of 5 stars Blown away!   June 14, 2010

I saw the musical in NYC for my birthday in April. I'm 22, my family came, mom, dad, 8yr old sister, and best friend who is 21. WE ALL LOVED IT, every age group. I ran to the souvenir line to get the CD but I HAD TO WAIT until (they predicted June 8th I got it June 4th or so) it was recorded. It cost THIRTY dollars there; it's only 12.99 on AMAZON! I'm so mad I didn't check Amazon first.

As far as the music goes:
Some of the songs are so touching, like "Happy/Sad," it literally brings me to tears, and most of the songs are HYSTERICAL, like "In the Arms (of a squid)". Every time I listen to the soundtrack I am back in my seat in NYC watching Nathan Lane and Bebe Neuwirth perform. My favorite songs are "Crazier Than You," "Live Before We Die," "Happy/Sad," and the "Moon and Me." It was hard for me to pick favorites though.

I have to admit some of the songs sound familiar, like they are from other musicals. I tried looking up their titles but only found the Addams Family as results. Regardless they are ALL phenomenal the cast really adds spark to them.

Overall I love this CD. I listen to it over and over again. I'm really glad I purchased it even though it cost me 30 dollars I think it was worth it. I would definitely recommend it and I would especially recommend getting it from AMAZON because it's so much more affordable!

Ps. GO SEE THE MUSICAL ON BROADWAY! Forget what the critics said! It's hysterical and even a little heart moving!

I got the cd the day before I saw the show for the first time. Loved the CD couldn't wait to see the show. The show is fabulous and having the Cd lets me hear that wonderful da da da dum da da da dum music anytime i want to Saw the show again yesterday Yes I'm a theater fan and a Nathan Lane fan but honestly the best number is when weds addams tortures her little brother pugsly and his plaintive song beseeching her to nail his tongue to the floor again if you're an addams family fan buy this Cd and enjoy it even if you're not going to see the show It's well worth the $$$ it's FABULOUS

if You did not get the chance to buy the Addams family cast recording, i recommend you to buy it. The Music by Andrew Lippa is really, really good. The music contains lots of Latin and Gothic theme, which i think is cool. The cast recording with Nathane Lane and Bebe Neuwirth is amazing. They are phenomenal actors and they make this show a hit, and even the CD. I am seeing this show in October, so i can't wait. So if you did not buy this CD, you should now. Its incredible. It comes with pictures inside, and a synopsis which i think its cool. And just for heads up, my friends went to NYC to see the Addams family, and they bought the cast recording for 30 bucks, so i really recommend you to buy it on Amazon! Amazon has amazing price's
Hope this was Helpful!
