Great Song! Great Voice! May 23, 2008 A reader (Missouri) 3 out of 8 found this review helpful
I've listened to this music over and over and haven't gotten tired of it. It's one of the most uplifting songs I've heard in awhile.

Little Miss Sunshine June 16, 2008 Amaranth (Northern California) 5 out of 6 found this review helpful
Natasha Bedingfield's "Pocketful of Sunshine" is pretty much standard,feel-good fare. It sounds like an opening theme for a TV show. One can imagine it playing in the background for a TV show such as ABC's "Private Practice", where Dr. Addison frolics on the Southern California beaches. "Pocketful of Sunshine" succeeds because it's only Natasha and a backup singer. It's not highly synthesized. There isn't any Sean Kingston doing pretentious rap. The chorus is the song's high point, when Natasha belts out "Take me away/to the sweet escape." Glorious escapist summer fun. If you can't afford going to the beach, this song is like sitting on the warm sand, listening to the waves.
Flashback: 90's Brit Pop April 9, 2008 Flap Jackson (State Road, NC) 10 out of 17 found this review helpful
Remember when Brit pop was the flavor of the month? Oasis, Spice Girls, all seemingly ruled the world. Well, now it's trying to make a comeback with Leona Lewis, and former HillSong singer and song-writer, little Natasha Bedingfield. This time, she doesn't bring any phony rap artists, but rather, herself and a backup singer. The result is distinctively Brit Pop, but maybe a little more suited to today's audiences. The vocals are the same as always for Bedingfield. The music itself is typical modern music, take it or leave it, although my description is a bit vague. The song is minorly catchy, but pretty much standard Brit Pop stuff that is overly forgettable. Overall, forgettable, Brit Pop, standard, maybe a bit boring. So if you like Bedingfield's other "work," you'll like this song. If you're a hit radio zombie, you'll also like it. For the rest of us, just pass. You're not missing anything.
Natasha's Rainbow July 20, 2008 Michael Kerner (Brooklyn, New York U.S.A.) Natasha Bedingfield really knew what she was doing when she recorded a few years ago, These Words, and Unwritten. For her latest song though, it shows that can try to make a good song stand out, but it feels like it is flavor of the moment. Pocketful Of Sunshine, the title track and second single from her sophmore album feels a little more upbeat than the collaboration with Sean King on Love Like This, but it just doesn't unfortunately really feel like it has stood out to being definitive from Natasha and her unique lyrical style. I like the beat of the song, but I was hoping from a bit more soul into the lyrics. Hopefully, when she comes out with her next single, it will sound much better tahn just a pocketful of the moment. Song: C+
