Compact and easily pocketable, it also features a large, brightly colorful 2.2-inch screen for easy web browsing. With the slide-out QWERTY keyboard, replying to instant and text messaging and sending emails is a breeze. | Verizon Service Options The V Cast Music service enables you to download songs instantly to your phone, or purchase music through your PC and transfer the files to your phone. If purchased from your phone, you'll receive two copies of the song: a Windows Media Audio Pro Plus format at 64Kbps stereo is sent to your phone, and a Windows Media Audio 9 format at 160Kbps stereo is sent to your account in the V CAST Music online store for downloading to your PC. V Cast Music offers nearly 2 million songs, with more being added all the time. Verizon's Mobile eMail gives you access to your Windows Live Hotmail, Yahoo Mail and AOL accounts so you can read, write, and reply. Access your address book, receive e-mail alerts and more, right on your Verizon Wireless phone. Getting on the Internet is easy using Verizon's Mobile Web 2.0 package, which allows you to read and send e-mails, exchange instant messages and view your favorite web content on your phone. Verizon's Get It Now wireless download service is also fully compatible with this phone. This pay-per-download service features application downloads, games and productivity tools. You can also personalize your handset with ringtone downloads using the Get It Now service. With this GPS-enabled phone, you'll be able to access Verizon's VZ Navigator service (additional charges applicable) for voice-prompted turn-by-turn directions, heads-up alerts, local search of nearly 14 million points of interest in the US (such as landmarks, restaurants and ATMs), and detailed color maps. And Verizon's Chaperone service lets you easily locate your loved ones from your Verizon Wireless phone or PC in real time. After defining a zone, such as an area designating a school or summer camp, you'll be sent an alert via text message when the Chaperone handset enters or leaves the zone. Phone Features A text messaging powerhouse with a 2.2-inch screen--ideal for browsing the Web or checking e-mail--Verizon's Blitz slide smoothly up to reveal a full QWERTY keyboard to make messaging and mobile blogging a snap. Dissapointed October 1, 2008 Patty from NY 7 out of 8 found this review helpful
I upgraded from a LG White Chocolate to the Verizon Blitz Phone. A new every two bonus from Verizon Wireless. This phone does not measure up to the LG Chocolate that I had for over two years. The voice used to identify calls is often illegable. The phone does not support Get It Now or the online Verizon Contact Backup. The LG Chocolate had all of the features of the Blitz plus it recorded video. This phone is a dissapointment overall. The only feature it has that the LG did not have is a keyboard. Check it out carefully before you buy.
Not what its cracked up to be. November 22, 2008 S. Holley (small town, Nevada) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
owned for almost a month. I bought this phone mostly for texting, but it is nice to be able to talk on it too. The sound quality is horrible. The person you are talking to sounds like they are talking into a tin can. It also takes bad pictures, but then it is a 1.3 megapixel. It is a cute phone and the texting feature isn't bad. I liked the qwerty key board. If I had seen more reviews on this phone I wouldn't have chosen it. I traded up for an LG EnV2. It cost a little more but it is worth it.
