Great TV July 8, 2008 M. Brainerd (Michigan) 29 out of 30 found this review helpful
This TV basically blew me away at the store. I was there to buy a 26" vizio or sharp aquos and ended up with a cheaper and much better Samsung T220HD. The picture, while smaller, was darker, clearer and crisper than the others and I felt like the better deal was this tv over the larger ones. I use this in the bedroom so the size was less of a concern but overall a great tv.
Samsung T220HD LCD Monitor August 1, 2008 Cynthia King 13 out of 13 found this review helpful
I ordered this LCD monitor for my son to use in his bedroom as a TV. I thought it would be neat to have if he wanted to hook it up to his laptop or a desktop later. The picture is awesome, the clarity of the colors are right up there with any of the other stand alone HD televisions we had looked at. This is truly a great monitor that thinks it is a TV. We also have a Samsung 52 inch DLP, and the picture on this one gives it a run for it's money.
Perfect, versatile TV monitor!! August 16, 2008 C. Chiang (Philadelphia, PA) 11 out of 12 found this review helpful
To previous reviewers who slammed this product just because it didn't have a wallmount option: nowhere does Samsung claim that these TVs are wall-mountable. Just because you didn't pay attention to product details doesn't mean the item is faulty...just that you picked the wrong one for your needs. Those who slammed this TV for its lack of a wall mount make about as much sense as someone trashing a beamer m6 for being bad for carpooling... anyway, just got my 22" T22HD and it is beautiful, and comes with plenty of nice surprises... for example,it's incredibly easy to assemble: they attach a special turning handle on the stand's phillips-head screws so you don't a screwdriver to put it together (tiny but nice improvement from the last samsung tv i put together: http://www.amazon.com/Samsung-LNT2354H-23-Inch-HDTV-White/dp/B000N50RUK/ref=sr_1_3?ie=UTF8&s=electronics&qid=1218910378&sr=8-3) It comes with a ton cables for use with peripherals and PCs (haven't used these yet) and lastly, has a cool touch-based power "button" (no actual button, just press on the bottom right of the monitor's frame to turn it off and on)! Once you manage to turn it on, the monitor's contrast adds nice depth to images and espn action clips stay pretty sharp. Don't know much about the TV's longevity yet, but so far am loving every aspect of this red/black samsung 22" HDTV! :)
Excellent HDTV and Monitor September 3, 2008 Miriam J. Gardea 7 out of 7 found this review helpful
This product is the best television I ever bought, and monitor is the same, the clearness of the picture is great. Have a very nice look, and the color red and black it has, is great. This is my first HDTV and I'm very happy, no dead pixels and no problems with anything. The HDTV Tuner works perfectly and the menu and all the functions it has, are very easy and good looking. Changing between the sources is very simple and easy. Excellent product, I recommend this product.
WELL DONE, SAMSUNG September 26, 2008 dendoc (Western U.S.) 7 out of 7 found this review helpful
I wanted a good TV/PC MONITOR: good TV sound/picture and simple switch to a PC monitor that ALSO worked well. This is it! This TV/MONITOR connected to standard TV/INTERNET cable quickly. Windows XP immediately accepted the monitor, no questions asked. When I switched to the TV on the remote, it immediately displayed TV channels. The on-screen menus are clear and progressive; simple to use.The built-in TV speakers are OK. Frankly, like most TV speakers, they should be better. Part of my researched buying decision included the headphone jack. There is only an optical digital audio out connector. So I connected the TV speakers to my high quality desktop speakers via an audio cable from the TV headphone jack to the line-in speakers. Now I have a great TV picture and surreal audio. CONS: One thing, Samsung should provide a much better user manual that FULLY explains the connectors/use. I called their tech support (800-726-7864) and surprise, they were fast and helpful. Several other reviews are critical of the stand, backlighting, weight, etc. Now that I am using this product, I do not understand any of these criticisms. Especially, since the LCD HD TV only added about $50. to the total cost of replacing my PC monitor.
