 Got a Harmony remote? Then you need this. April 12, 2008

I purchased this remote to make my Harmony One remote control my Playstation 3 and it does just that! It took a bit to set it up, using the learning command function of the Harmony to install the commands from the Nyko and then assigning the commands took some time but it was well worth it. A tip for those out there who are doing this, watch for multiple commands off the directional pad, I had to troubleshoot it to only send the command once. Setting your delays short (100 ms) will smooth things too. All in all for so little money this is a great solution for those looking to control everything with their Harmony Remote. The only command it will not send is power on/off since there is no PS button command but you gotta get up to put in a disc anyway so there you go.

When I bought my PS3 a Sony PS3 remote came with it it in a deal. What an annoying piece of junk. Every time I used it it needed to reprogram to work.
The Blue wave remote worked flawlessly.

This is a fantastic solution if you want to control your PS3 DVD/Blu-Ray playback with your universal remote. As other reviewers have noted, the only limitation is you cannot turn the PS3 on and off and must use the buttons on the machine. Given that you use it to control DVD playback, though, chances are you have to insert and eject the disc anyhow so it's not a big deal.
Works great with my Harmony 880 remote. The Logitech software even had the blu wave as a pre-configured device making it super easy to update your Harmony remote.

I purchased this to integrate the PS3/Blu-Ray player into my home theater setup. I'm pleased to say it is well worth it (and cheaper than the PS3 Blu-Ray remote). I was easily able to learn the IR codes to my URC MX-850 remote and I can now control the PS3's Blu-Ray player from my universal remote and avoid the awkward Sixaxis controller or have to use a second remote. The USB dongle works as advertised and I have had no problems "seeing" the PS3 with my universal remote. I highly recommend this product.

I purchased this remote so my Pronto Pro could be used to control the PS3 for DVD/Blu-Ray playback. I was not disappointed. The remote worked without any trouble and my Pronto Pro easily learned the IR remote codes. This device is well worth it's weight in gold if you need an IR remote for PS3.
