Let there be clones! May 26, 2007 Julie C. Gilbert (NJ United States) 10 out of 14 found this review helpful
Speaking of educational value. I did use these to make a point in my graduate level education class. We were talking about how in group work and collaboration, sometimes people have to be willing to wear different helmets. Ah, Legos, timeless, awesome toys.
Perfect for building a formidable clone army.
Battle packs rule! February 8, 2008 Joshua G. Feldman (New York) 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
My 7 year old son loves his Legos star wars kits. He's got a bunch and the battle packs mate well for scenario play with them. Legos has been promoting the battle packs in the Legos club magazine so the odds your your kid already knows about the battle packs and wants them. No matter what Star Wars Legos kits s/he has this will augment it. The Battle Packs are worthwhile as stand alone toys too - especially for travel. The trouble with the big Legos kits for take along play is that they tend to break up in pieces during play and a lost piece is a disaster. The Battle Packs are small and simple (and cheap). These can go with you. They are the correct size for making an airline seat back a battlefield. Heartily recommended.
fun toy July 28, 2007 S. Hsu (Santa Monica, CA) 10 out of 11 found this review helpful
From my seven year old son Jared: It is a very well built toy. I like it a lot. The first time I saw it, I saw it at my friend Jack's house, and we played with it, and it was a lot of fun. And then I asked my mom if I could buy it, and that's how much I like it.
A perfect intro to Legos July 15, 2008 R. D. Gamble 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I gave this to my son for his 7th birthday. I'd previously given him a couple of harder kits, and while he tried very hard to put those together by himself, he eventually became frustrated and needed help. He put this kit together completely by himself in less than an hour, and you could literally see the pride in his face. He immediately started begging for the matching Star Wars droid kit. Over a week later, he's still playing with and rebuilding this set nearly every day.
Great toy, and not hard to assemble December 29, 2007 David L. Willis (Dyersburg, TN) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
This is one of Lego's smaller add-on packs to a Star Wars collection that can be used as a stand-alone product, too. Small, fun and it helps build up your clone, or stormtrooper, army. My seven year-old loves to build this, or take it apart and add the pieces to other sets. Also, we use the clone troopers and the stormtroopers interchangably. Overall, this is a great toy. Highly recommended.
