A cool rendition of the Jedi Starfighter August 15, 2007 Herschel Greenberg (Whittier, CA USA) 43 out of 44 found this review helpful
This is a great Lego set. The blue and white color combo works nicely on this set. Also, the Jedi Starfighter is very interactive. The cockpit opens, the wings move, the flaps on the wings move, and the landing gears can come down so you can set it on almost any surface. The starfighter also interacts with the Hyperdrive Booster Ring. There are two pieces on the ship that slide into the ring and keeps it balanced in the middle. The booster ring itself is very detailed. In fact, it took hours to build, since every joint is held together by multiple parts. The ring ends up being very sturdy, and you can put in on a flat surface so it can stand on its own. It is sturdy enough to hold the starfighter as well when sitting on a flat surface. Overall, this is a great model, that was fun to build, and is one of the more interactive sets. However, the Lego figures are not great. First, Obi-wan does not come with a lightsaber, which seems strange, since he has one in every other set. Secondly, the set comes with Kit Fisto. On the box, the figure looks great, with his grin and shinny green head. However, the actual figure is made of rubber, so it is not shinny at all. And his face does not look right when compared to the character on the box, and of course, in the movie. He does however, come with a green lightsaber. Overall, this is a Lego set worth buying and building, even if the figures are not the best Lego has ever offered.
jedi startfighter and booster ring January 12, 2008 4 out of 4 found this review helpful
This is a very sturdy Lego model. There are pieces on the bottom of the starfighter that hook onto the booster ring and hold it on. Kitt Fisto comes with a light saber and Obi Wan does not but I do not mind. There are connector plates on the booster ring that hold onto the starfighter. This is a great set and worth the money.
Fun for 7 year old October 31, 2008 S (Houston, TX) My son is 7 and this lego set kept him occupied and going. He loved it. He's really proud that he built it. He did get frustrated at times, but had to remind him that it was rated for older kids. I recommend it.
Lego Jedi Starfighter with Hyperdrive Booster Ring Review (I couldn't think of a better title! :( November 30, 2008 When I first saw this set, I thought to myself 'This is so cool, I've gotta get it!' I did. It is a really cool set, with Obi-Wan Kenobi's starfighter and the ring, which is probably the main focal point. I really like the Kit Fisto fig, and the golden astromech droid dome, which goes really well with the black astromech droid body from the Star Destroyer set. It is durable, meaning you can play rough with it, yet it also works well as a display piece, which is what it is in my case. It is a good set overall.
Great Set!!! January 1, 2008 J. Hincapie (Brideport, Conneticut) 2 out of 4 found this review helpful
I am a 15 year old going on 16 and it isn't an easy thing to admit liking lego to friends. I am a huge star wars fan and I love to collect all things star wars including lego. The highlights of this set are as follows, 1. The star fighter is nicely colored blue. It is made up of three major pieces, (you'll see when if you buy it), and is very sturdy. 2. The ring is pretty awesome, it is nicely built, and is a good stand. It actually holds up the starfighter, 8 outa 10 times. 3. Minifigures are awesome!!! This set includes the first ever Kit Fisto minifigure! He is really cool and comes with a lightsaber. The obi-wan included is different from the traditional one, has his headset on. The only negative of this set, is that obi-wan does not come with a lightsaber or cape. Other than that, get this set.
