Product Description At a whopping five feet tall, the Serpent's Spiral Coaster towers over kids with its impressive network of spirals, looping tracks and obstacles. With over a thousand pieces and more than 38 feet of track, kids can spend hours building the massive coaster - then another few hours running cars though it. Includes two chrome finished cars which are carried up the motorized vertical chain lift, plus a combination of original and micro K'Nex parts. 1,082 pieces in all. Requires 2 "AA" batteries, not included.

great building experience November 4, 2007 Jodi in Minnesota (Tower, MN USA) 41 out of 41 found this review helpful
This is from a mom's point of view. First of all, the box is fairly sturdy for cardboard and comes with a plastic insert that sorts and holds the pieces. This made the construction process more enjoyable. My almost 13-year old built the model with no adult assistance and minimal frustration. There were basically exactly the right number of pieces- about a dozen small pieces left over. Since many of the pieces are the new micro-sized knex, this could have been a problem. The instructions were very clear. All the pieces fit nicely together. My son has had the model together for about an hour, and is still playing with it. The model is sturdy and nothing has shifted around during play (this was a problem we saw with another large construction set called Chaos Tower). There are two alternative models to build with this set also.
Works really really really well! November 25, 2007 Jennifer Pribil (Lincoln, NE United States) 26 out of 26 found this review helpful
Wonderful that knex has made a great new coaster. With all the reviews of past ones, I was concerned that my knex guy who's 6 would be upset with it if it didn't come out right! No problems here! It's been up for about a month now and they are still turning it on every day to watch it go up the chain and down the coaster! Unbelievable and so very cool!
K'nex Serpent's Spiral Coaster February 22, 2008 Frank (Alamosa, CO.) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
Purchased this for our 9 y.o. son. We both had a ball putting it together - worked nearly non-stop. He'd need some help now and again but with a little boost he was off and running on his own again. Its 'resting' now but as with other similar things it will take another burst in one of its other forms soon I'm sure.
Fun way to kill time May 1, 2008 3girliesandalilguy (utah) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
My 12 year old daughter has loved k'nex building sets for years. The Serpent's Spiral Coaster took her a couple evenings for her to finish. My 3 year old son loves to watch it work, but I think my daughter had more fun putting it together than watching it run. It's a good thing there are a few different configurations for it to keep her interested. Would recommend for any kid who likes puzzles or building sets.
great fun May 22, 2008 Pamela A. Tolbert 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
my grandchildren had hours of fun putting this together and even took it to school for a project. it takes several hours and it turned into a family project. i think they had more fun putting it together than running it. a great weekend activity. only problem it does not hold together well to move as when we took it to school, pieces came apart and came off.
