This toy is cute, but we may have a dud. The volume has low and high settings. There is no difference in the volume. Ours came scratched up too. It was a gift from a relative ( I already have to exchange another duplicate gift from them) so I don't have the heart to tell them to return it.
My intentions for the toy was for my 2 year old, but my 3 year old likes it too. WATCH how it states age appropiate for 3-7 years old. NO WAY would a child over the age of 5 would have any interest in this toy!!!!!

I bought this toy for my 3 year old daughter. I could not hear it. I turned it to the highest setting and had to put my ear right up to it. I tried changing the batteries and that did not help either. I ended up returning it. I wanted to try another one but they did not have any on the shelf. I ordered this one from Amazon and when I got it the batteries were already dead. Good thing I got a good deal on it and I was able to return it and get my money back. It would of been great if you could hear the songs.
