It's great for what it is May 12, 2008 EmerysMomma (Texas) 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
I think if I had not seen it at a friends house i would have also thought it was bigger from the box. But it is a great size for toddlers. My 1 and 2 year old have a ton of fun and never want to get out. My son really hates sprinklers so we dont use that function, they just throw water on the slide before going down. The slide is fun for both of them. It is easy to get in and out of for them and they have a blast. An air pump is really needed unless you have crazy strong lungs
Great pool for kids under age 3 July 12, 2007 Mommy of TwoToBe (Pasadena, CA) 11 out of 12 found this review helpful
I completely agree with all the reviews, positive and negative, on this product. Beware that this is a kiddie pool - not a children's pool. It's not that big, and the water is meant to be shallow, like 6 inches or less. That said, it's absolutely PERFECT for about 3 to 4 toddlers under the age of 3, and a very fair price for a pool for that purpose. I have not tried out the slide yet, but there is a little cushion area you can fill with air where the child will hit the pool coming down from the slide, which I thought was a good touch. Also, there is a bigger opening for inflating and deflating the pool than just the usual small little hole, which I only discovered after my first use. It made the deflating SUPER fast though, and I believe it will make inflating even easier next time (with my electric pump).
Quite a Catch!!! June 30, 2008 Laurie Alvarez (Texas) 3 out of 3 found this review helpful
After reading the various reviews here I had no idea whether or not to proceed with the purchase of this pool for my two year old daughter. Finally I decided to take a chance and hope for the best realizing all along that, folks, inflatable pools are not meant to last more than a swimming season. That is definitely reflected in the cost of the pool. Another concern I had though was about how many children would be able to play in the pool at a given time because we were planning to use this pool at my daughter's birthday party where there would be several five year old brothers as well. Well, long story short....this pool was absolutely perfect. Both of my kiddos (ages 2 and 5) were able to play in the pool at the same time. Now granted neither have room to do laps, but their idea of fun in a pool such as this is to slide and splash and get wet. Even if the box's picture is misleading on size, don't let that seal the deal on your purchase because this really is a great little pool for the money. Keep in mind that this is not a "swimming" pool so much as it is a slide and splash pool. At one time there were four little girls from 6 months up to 4 years playing happily in this pool at our party. Occasionally a couple of five year olds would throw themselves down the slide making for splashes and screams and yet there was no fussing...just squeals and smiles. Y'all don't judge a book by its cover and miss out on some good backyard summer fun in this pool. As long as you keep your expectations realistically based, you and your kids won't be disappointed! I am definitley glad I gave it a chance!!!
Good for two or three toddlers! July 13, 2008 NuriaP (MD USA) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I got this for my toddlers (18 months and 3 years), and they love it. Size: It's perfect for two or three kids, I would say up to four years of age the most. I had to inflate it myself, and it wasn't too bad. Really the part that took the longest was the center part of the slide. Quality: I have two generally gentle girls, so it doesn't take big beatings. However they love to seat on the side and bounce, and so far after about a month of almost everyday use it's still good as new. I bought it thinking that for $20 it'd probably not last the summer, but now I think it will. I think that if we don't use it next year it'll be because it might be too small for them then. I haven't used the attchment for the hose, so I can't comment on how well it works. I wet the slide and the kids go right down, no problem. The slide attaches to the bottom part with two ropes. It came with two little pieces that were barely long enough to do the job, so I got a couple shoe laces and it takes half the time to set it up now. To sum up, a good buy.
5 Stars for Children Under 4! June 8, 2007 A. Durante (South Florida) 11 out of 13 found this review helpful
LAME for children over the age of 4. The manufacturer's box says for ages 3-12 and the photos associated with this product are very misleading. I have a 2 1/2 year old who had a blast sliding down the slide but for my 5 year old, who is average size, it was lame. The manufacturers photos show 4 children, 3 of them have to be at least 8 years old. My 5 year old wasn't interested after seeing how small it was after putting it together ... I highly doubt I could get a child older than him near it! As far as the photo advertising 2 older girls sitting comfortably in the pool with plenty of room to spare ... not a chance! There is just enough room for my two little ones in the pool area. When my son sits at the top of the "slide" his feet almost touch the water. Was hoping both my kids would be able to enjoy this throughout the summer ... very disappointed! Great for small children. Recommended ages should be 2-4 years for sure!
