So... why four bits? August 4, 2008 JimBob (NC) 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
This is a nice compact kit that I hope I never need... but as the Boy Scouts say .... "Be Prepared"! Like others here I was confused by the two apparently "extra" tools; I had expected only a cleaner & a plug inserter. I shot the company an e-mail and got this prompt reply: ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ 1. The Needle that is open at the very top of the eye - to be used per the directions on auto tires. 2. The Needle that is open along the side of the eye - to be used with ATV tires as per the directions (this type of needle would get caught on the steel belts of an automotive tire, and works much better with an ATV type tire.) 3. The Needle that is completely closed is to be used like the #1 needle able, BUT once the needle is strung, it would be inserted ALL the way into the tire and pulled out half way; then cut off. (Same basic function, just really a matter of preference) We included all three of these so that the option that you are familiar with and/or most comfortable with are available. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ So I am only going to keep the regular inserter and the rasp with the kit which I think will leave room in the handle for all the gear with no left-overs (I'm traveling right now so am not 100% sure on that but think it should work). I've only had it 2 weeks and I already had to use it, it was easy to use and works well.
a plug for a plugger August 29, 2007 Bill Rankin 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I finally got a chance to use this product on a recent trip. I tried another product first and it failed, but then I plugged my front motorcycle tire with this product and it held well for the 1500 miles until I could get it changed. Could use a little more instructions on it's various bits, however. The case is nice and compact and keeps everything together
Easy to use and effective June 21, 2008 Dana A. Nuccitelli (West Sacramento, CA USA) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I used this plugger kit on a puncture in my rear moped tire. At some point I had run over a screw which got lodged in the tire. I removed the screw and followed the directions on the plugger packaging. A couple of minutes later, the hole was sealed and I re-inflated the tire successfully. It's cheap, easy to use, effective, and handy (almost all the tools store inside the handle, with the exception of the pluggers). I definitely recommend it.

i used to race superbikes... once, i got a puncture, and got flat... i was pretty worried 'cause i was far away from home... one of the guys walked towards me smiling.. and told me.. well dude.. get ready to stay here for a couple of hours... and i was like,,, "why the ... is he smiling"... and then told me that he was joking and told me that he got one of this kits... and repaired the tire in a few minutes.. then i went to a gas station... refilled the tire.. and the trip continued... i had not used yet the one that i just bought but i have it on the mini-trunk of the bike... and i know that it works..... highly recommended...
