Expensive, but fantastic for dry & colored hair! February 17, 2008 Zuberdeen (San Francisco. CA) 8 out of 8 found this review helpful
I had been searching for a long time to find a shampoo that would truly moisturize my hair. I have fine hair but tons of it, so it is thick and will frizz at the slightest hint of humidity. It is also highlighted 3 or 4 times a year AND I blow dry it nearly every day -- needless to say, my hair needs pampering to look its best! Pureology Hydrate Shampoo does just that: it hydrates dry, damaged hair. It has a minty sort of smell that I find natural and refreshing; although it is a bit strong at first, by the time I am finished styling the minty smell is gone and my hair just smells fresh & clean. One of the best things about the Pureology line is that they do not use sulfates, which are harsh chemicals that can strip your hair, particularly if your hair is color treated. This is a gentle product and although expensive, a little goes a long way. I recommend using the Hydrate Conditioner as well. Your hair will look healthy and lush!
Pureology Hydrating shampoo October 30, 2007 Nancy (SC,USA) 2 out of 3 found this review helpful
Great product. I use it daily. It is very concentrated,so it will last a very long time.
Best. Smelling. Shampoo. Ever. May 13, 2008 A. Bippart (Los Angeles) Finally! A shampoo that I actually love, not just like and slavishly buy in order to save my hair from hellish aisles of tutti-fruity smelling, packaged-to-target-teenage-girls-and-the-elderly pharmacy products. I have been faithful for years to Goldwell brand, which I long considered to be the "gold-standard" for my combination fine/wavy/dry hair. But this one takes the cake. The smell, for one, is just plain awesome. It's herbal and earthly and clean... much like Aveda shampoos are, but SOOOO much better. I actually spent much of the other day whipping my head from side to side just so I could smell this shampoo. Good thing no one else was around... WHen you get out of the shower, your hair doesn't feel weighted down and heavy. It feels so clean and fresh. Based on the other hundreds, perhaps thousands of products I have tried in the last 20 years that I have been obsessed with haircare, this is my favorite. At least for now.
Great shampoo for Colorado climate! October 9, 2008 J. P. Smith This shampoo leaves your hair shiny and healthy looking, especially hair that has been color treated or permed. It's a perfect shampoo for drier climates in Colorado, Arizona, and New Mexico. It is a hydrating shampoo as named! This wonderful shampoo should be followed by their hydrating conditioner. Only a very small amount of the shampoo and conditioner is required each time.
Won't fade color February 11, 2008 T.H. (Miami, FL) 0 out of 1 found this review helpful
I love this shampoo! It thoroughly cleans my hair without drying it out or fading the color. Also it smells great. I won't ever go back to my other shampoos.
