All my life I looked for a liner that would last all day and not smudge. I tried everything, from Chanel to Maybelline and nothing worked. I don't like liquid liners because I find them hard to apply. I found the answer to my problems with this gel eyeliner. I found it much easier to apply than liquid eyeliner, and it lasts for ever! I own it in 4 different colors and I don't think I'll ever stop using it.

I can't say enough about this gel eyeliner. It goes on easily and stays on all day (and all night if you forget to wash it off!) I have very sensitive eyes and wearing it was a dream- I didn't rub my eyes or feel like it was running off. My friend turned me on to this product- Three of us bought it together and we are all sold. Be sure to buy the brush to go with it. It's terrific too!

When using this, I found that using an angled eye-liner brush from any brand (I have one from an old travel brush kit from the Body Shop) gave me more control with using this product. If you're a skilled eye-liner user, Bobbi Brown has an eye liner brush, which I had trouble with - even with the small brush head and stiff bristles.
Application takes some practice. This cream formula glides onto your lids like butter! A little goes a long way - apply it after your shadow, before your mascara, in short strokes (outside to inside with an angled brush) across your the line of your lids, and go over it again in 1 fast stroke. It's worth trying if you're thinking of switching from using pencil eye liners, or eye liners that are in a pot and include a felt tip wand.
Like other reviewers said, it does NOT smudge and lasts ALL day. I sweat because I walk super fast, and get teary-eyed because of my allergies - and it did not smudge. The look you will achieve is a perfect bold line, which ultimately opens up your eyes.
The colors #4 Violet Ink (which is a slightly metallic dark purple color), and #3 Cobalt Ink (matte navy blue) are flattering for brown eyes.

I've tried all types of eyeliner, and they all end up smudging or flaking off, very messy by the end of a long day (or night). I bought this one to wear at my wedding (in the fantastic chocolate shade) and it was absolutely perfect! Well worth the price. Great wear, easy to apply (with a very skinny-tipped brush, I ended up using a tiny paintbrush)and stays exactly where you put it.

I have been using liquid eyeliner for 40 years and when the company changed the formula, my eyelids swelled up and itched. The search was on for a new eyeliner. After reading the other reviews, I tried the Bobbi Brown gel eyeliner in Chocolate Shimmer Ink. Fantastic! This eyeliner is easy to apply, does not separate, flake or fade. When my eyes tear up and overflow, the eyeliner stays put. Great for contact lens wearers. I (as well as my twin) will buy this eyeliner for whatever length of time we have left or Bobbi Brown changes the formula. Rave on!
